Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator Warranty

Boston Scientific Spinal Cord Stimulator Warranty

Time For a New Warranty! Already? It has recently come to my attention that a few items are on warranty for a slim year. This year in my humblest of opinions is very slim in retrospect to the very large cost of the equipment and install. Boston Scientific, whom I have had nothing but a very good relationship with thus far, has sent me a letter indicating that my remote and charging system were expiring in a couple short months. What does this mean? Well, I am more than glad you asked! It simply means that I have had my stimulator in and working for almost a year now and not laying in bed for a year. Special thanks to my surgeon and his staff and Boston Scientific. However, on…

A Daily Weight Struggle

Well, I get to miss my appointments and weigh-in this week. I won a trip to the cath lab. Not happy about it but not going to sit here and dwell on the fact either. That makes a day real long and bad.   I have always been a eat once a day and power drink 44 ounce colas and 7 pots of coffee per day type of person. I have found trying to eat the right stuff is not difficult but I can not help but feel like now I am doing to much of it.   Going from once per day to 3 times per day all in one shot is hard for me. I believe it all to be a mental game really. I am not old…

Some Would Say Yes! I recall a long time ago on a cold Missouri New Years Eve, my grand dad loaded up his black powder rifle with a very low grain charge and a patch and let my brother and I each take a shot at Midnight. The Davy Crockett in me was born, I just never knew it. My Hunting Days Early on and into today in my life, hunting has been limited. My great grandmother gave me a .22 rifle when I was 9.  Hunting was limited to rabbit and squirrel. I went along with many others on hunting outings but never got the hunting bug. I do recall rare days of watching grandpa take the old squirrel gun out and harvest some squirrel and miss some as well.…

A Social Outcast Begins!

A Social Outcast Begins!

How did I ever come up with the name of this place? For most of my life, I have been one of those people that really never had a place in society. The issue is, everyone has a place, we all just need to find our place. But what happens when we don't? We become an outcast! I am not sure if I am an outcast really so much as an out of place person. But this website name! Sorry, I'm getting there I promise. So in jr high all the kids were just snot nosed punks. One day one group teased another and then that teased group was the in crowd that teased yesterdays teasers. Like sands through the hour glass.... Then in high school the politics changed. We…

UDS Ugly Drum Smoker

Cooking
How It All Started Some time back, I was watching YouTube bored as could be and I ran across a fella that went by the channel name Sneakyyone (I know I just butchered that Sorry Phil!) and he now goes by Daddy Cooks. I saw him take a garbage can, a 55 gallon drum, and turn it into a direct heat smoker! WHAT? Yes! You can see it for yourself here https://youtu.be/EUQbGTSXhdk .  *Edit 11/24/2018  He was originally sneakeey1 at the time. I could not believe such a thing could exist. After all, a smoker was made to cook indirect reverse flow right? Maybe even the pellet pooper crowd will join in and say they belong in there too and yes they sure do! But a garbage can! Really? The first thought that came…
